TCG Self-Adhesive File Instructions

What It Does

TCG Self-Adhesive Files are premium disposable abrasive pads designed for use with the TCG Stainless Steel File Plate (not included, purchase separately).
These pads are made from High quality Japanese paper and provide a hygienic, professional-grade filing system — ensuring perfect control, balanced pressure, and complete sanitation between clients. Each adhesive file is single-use for one client and peels off easily for quick replacement. They can be reused on the same client mutiple times if you wish to have seperate files for each client.

Preparation.

1. Select the appropriate grit.
   • Choose from available grits depending on the service
     • 240 grit - buffer
     • 240 grit - super fine finishing file and perfect for shaping natural nail free edge
     • 180 grit – shaping and refining.
     • 150 grit – shaping enhancements or moderate reduction.
     • 100 grit – heavy product removal or rebalancing.
2. Prepare the TCG Stainless Steel File Plate.
   • Wipe with disinfectant or alcohol and allow to dry completely before applying a new adhesive pad.

Application

1. Peel and apply the file pad.
• Carefully peel one TCG Self-Adhesive File from the backing sheet.
• Align evenly and press firmly onto the clean, dry TCG Stainless Steel File Plate, smoothing out any air bubbles.
2. File as required.
• Use light, even strokes to shape or refine the nail surface.
• Avoid excessive pressure — the plate’s rigidity ensures consistent filing performance.
• Always file in one direction when working on natural nails to reduce stress and splitting.
3. Replace between clients.
• After each use, peel off and discard the used adhesive file.
• Clean and disinfect the stainless steel plate before applying a new pad.

After Use

1. Disposal.
• Dispose of used adhesive files after every client.
• Do not reuse or attempt to disinfect adhesive pads.
2. Plate Care.
• Wipe the TCG Stainless Steel File Plate with disinfectant or alcohol.
• Ensure it is fully dry before applying the next adhesive file.

• Always press the adhesive pad onto a completely dry file plate for maximum grip.
• Use consistent, gentle pressure — the stainless steel backing does the work for you.
• For improved sanitation, keep spare TCG File Plates on hand to rotate between clients.
• Store unused adhesive pads flat, away from dust and moisture.
• Dispose of adhesive pads responsibly according to salon hygiene protocols.
