Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last updated: 1st August 2026

This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to orders placed through nails.co.nz, operated by Two Curly Girls Limited.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the shipping, delivery and order-processing terms set out below.

Shipping Within New Zealand

nails.co.nz ships throughout eligible locations in New Zealand using trusted courier and freight partners, including Post Haste and NZ Post.

Shipping charges are calculated based on factors including the size, weight, destination and freight classification of your order.

Certain products classified as Dangerous Goods (DG) require specialist freight services and may incur additional shipping charges.

Where additional freight charges are required, we will contact you before dispatch.

Some locations cannot be serviced due to courier or Dangerous Goods restrictions. Please refer to the PO Boxes & Delivery Restrictions section below.

Delivery Address Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address entered during checkout is complete and correct.

Please carefully check your delivery address before completing your purchase.

If you use an accelerated checkout service such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Afterpay, or another third-party payment or checkout provider, your delivery address may automatically populate from the information stored with that provider rather than from your nails.co.nz customer account.

Updating your address on nails.co.nz does not update the address stored with third-party providers.

If an incorrect or incomplete address has been supplied and the order has already been processed or dispatched, additional freight, redirection, return or re-delivery charges may apply.

Rural Delivery

Courier companies determine whether an address is classified as Rural Delivery (RD).

We recommend checking your address before ordering using:

https://www.addresscheck.co.nz/

If your address is classified as Rural Delivery, the applicable Rural Delivery surcharge must be paid before your order is dispatched.

If a Rural Delivery surcharge is required and you choose to cancel your order rather than pay the applicable surcharge, the cancellation may be treated as a customer-requested or Change of Mind cancellation and processed in accordance with our Refund Policy and the Customer-Requested Order Cancellations section below.

Dangerous Goods Shipping

Some products sold by nails.co.nz are classified as Dangerous Goods under applicable New Zealand transport requirements.

Dangerous Goods may:

  • require specialist transport;

  • incur additional freight charges;

  • be unavailable through some courier services;

  • be unable to be delivered to certain locations; and

  • require longer delivery timeframes.

If your order contains Dangerous Goods and additional freight charges or alternative freight arrangements are required, we may contact you before dispatch.

If your delivery location cannot be serviced for the particular Dangerous Goods contained in your order, we will contact you to discuss the available options.

Order Processing

Orders are generally processed within one business day.

Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will generally be processed on the next business day.

Processing times may be longer during:

  • promotional periods;

  • sales events;

  • public holidays;

  • stocktakes;

  • unusually high order volumes; or

  • circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Processing time is separate from courier delivery time.

Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times following dispatch are:

Destination Estimated Delivery
North Island 1–2 business days
South Island 1–2 business days
Rural North Island 2–4 business days
Rural South Island 2–4 business days
Dangerous Goods Minimum 2 business days

These timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Delivery may be affected by weather events, freight volumes, public holidays, courier network disruptions, rural delivery schedules, Dangerous Goods requirements or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Track & Trace

Where tracking is available, tracking information will be emailed to you once your shipment has been processed for dispatch.

Courier tracking may not show movement until the parcel has been collected and received its first scan within the courier network.

If you have not received tracking information within two business days of dispatch, please check your Junk or Spam folder before contacting us.

Signature Deliveries

All parcels are sent** Signature Required**.

For some Rural Delivery addresses or courier services, Signature Required may not be available.

Where a courier records a parcel as delivered, including under an authorised Authority to Leave instruction, we may rely on the courier's delivery information when initially investigating a delivery query.

If you believe a parcel has been incorrectly delivered or is missing despite being recorded as delivered, please contact us promptly so that we can investigate the delivery with the courier.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under applicable New Zealand law.

Authority to Leave

Where a customer provides an Authority to Leave instruction, safe-place instruction or other delivery instruction, the courier may leave the parcel without obtaining a signature.

Customers should ensure that any nominated delivery location is secure and suitable for unattended delivery.

Where there is a dispute regarding delivery, we may obtain delivery information from the courier, including tracking scans, delivery photographs, GPS information or other available delivery records.

Business Deliveries

Orders can be delivered to commercial premises.

Please include your business name when entering your delivery address to assist courier drivers in identifying the correct premises.

Where applicable, please also include unit numbers, floor numbers or other information necessary for successful delivery.

PO Boxes & Delivery Restrictions

We do not deliver to:

  • PO Boxes;

  • Private Bags;

  • Waiheke Island;

  • Chatham Islands;

  • Stewart Island; or

  • other offshore islands,

unless specifically arranged with us before purchase.

Courier and Dangerous Goods restrictions mean that not all products can be transported to all New Zealand locations.

If you require delivery to one of the locations listed above, please contact us before placing your order so that we can determine whether a suitable freight option is available.

Placing an order does not guarantee that we can deliver to a restricted location.

Orders Placed for Restricted Delivery Locations

Customers are responsible for checking our delivery restrictions before completing checkout.

If an order is placed for an address that we have identified as unavailable for standard delivery, we may contact the customer to determine whether an alternative delivery method is available.

An additional freight charge may apply where alternative delivery can be arranged.

If no suitable delivery service is available, or if the customer elects not to proceed with an available alternative delivery option, the order will be cancelled and any refund will be processed in accordance with our Refund Policy and applicable New Zealand law.

Where permitted by law, a refund arising from a customer-requested cancellation may be reduced by reasonable, non-refundable costs already incurred by us as a direct result of processing the transaction, including applicable non-refundable payment processing or transaction fees.

We will not deduct fees or charges where doing so would be inconsistent with our obligations under applicable New Zealand law.

Customer-Requested Order Cancellations

Please check your products, quantities and delivery details carefully before completing checkout.

Once an order has been submitted and payment has been processed, cancellation or amendment is not guaranteed.

If you request cancellation before your order has been dispatched, we will make reasonable efforts to stop the order from being processed or shipped.

A cancellation requested for reasons including:

  • change of mind;

  • ordering the incorrect product;

  • ordering an incorrect quantity;

  • duplicate ordering;

  • supplying an incorrect delivery address;

  • ordering for a restricted delivery location without prior approval; or

  • choosing not to pay an applicable Rural Delivery or additional freight charge,

may be treated as a customer-requested cancellation.

Where permitted by law, any refund for a customer-requested cancellation may be reduced by reasonable, non-refundable costs already incurred in processing the order or transaction, including applicable payment processing or transaction fees.

Any deduction will be limited to costs reasonably associated with the cancelled transaction.

If an order has already been packed, dispatched or handed to a courier, it may no longer be possible to cancel the shipment.

Where an order has already been dispatched, any subsequent return or Return to Sender will be handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and the Return to Sender (RTS) provisions below.

This cancellation provision does not apply where a customer is exercising a right to a refund, replacement or other remedy available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986, or other applicable New Zealand law.

Changes to Orders

If you need to change an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

We cannot guarantee that products, quantities, delivery addresses or freight methods can be changed once processing has commenced.

If a requested change results in additional freight, payment processing or other reasonable costs, the customer may be required to pay those costs before the amended order is dispatched.

Once an order has entered the courier network, address changes may not be possible and may incur courier redirection charges.

Click & Collect

Customers may select Click & Collect during checkout where this option is available.

We will notify you when your order is ready for collection.

Orders should be collected within 60 days of notification that they are ready.

If an order remains uncollected after 60 days, please contact us to arrange collection.

Where reasonably necessary, products from an uncollected order may be returned to available stock while we continue to record the customer's entitlement to the goods or other appropriate resolution.

Where the original product is no longer available when collection is eventually requested, we will contact the customer regarding an appropriate resolution.

Please also refer to our Terms of Service for provisions relating to uncollected orders.

Return to Sender (RTS)

A parcel may be returned to us by the courier where, for example:

  • an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied;

  • the parcel was not collected from the courier;

  • delivery was refused;

  • access to the delivery address was unavailable;

  • the recipient was unknown at the address;

  • required delivery information was missing; or

  • the courier was otherwise unable to complete delivery.

Where a parcel is returned due to circumstances attributable to the customer:

  • the original freight charge may be non-refundable;

  • any Return to Sender freight charged by the courier may be payable by the customer; and

  • additional freight charges may be required before the parcel is re-dispatched.

If the customer elects not to have the parcel re-shipped, any refund will be processed in accordance with our Refund Policy.

Where permitted by law, the refund may be reduced by reasonable costs already incurred as a result of the original shipment, return freight and applicable non-refundable transaction costs.

These provisions do not limit any statutory rights or remedies where the return results from a failure for which we are legally responsible.

Failed Delivery or Courier Collection

Courier services are operated by independent freight providers and collection or delivery times cannot always be guaranteed.

If a courier fails to collect or deliver a parcel as scheduled, we will take reasonable steps to follow up with the courier where appropriate.

A failed courier collection or attempted delivery does not automatically mean that an order or return has been lost.

Where customer action is required to complete a collection or delivery, including making a parcel available, providing access, supplying delivery information or following courier labelling instructions, delays may occur until those requirements have been completed.

Lost or Delayed Parcels

If a parcel appears to be lost or materially delayed in transit, please contact us so that we can investigate with the courier.

We may lodge a trace, investigation or claim with the relevant courier and may ask the customer to provide reasonable information required to assist that investigation.

Where appropriate, we may wait for reasonable courier investigation information before determining the appropriate resolution.

However, nothing in this policy removes or delays any remedy that a customer is legally entitled to receive under applicable New Zealand consumer law.

Delivery estimates supplied by courier companies are indicative only and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

High Value Orders

For orders exceeding NZ$500, we may contact the customer to verify delivery or order information before dispatch.

We may also apply additional delivery requirements, such as Signature Required, where reasonably appropriate.

This verification is intended to minimise delivery errors and protect customers and nails.co.nz against unauthorised or fraudulent transactions.

A delay caused by reasonable verification may extend the normal processing timeframe.

Damaged, Leaking, Missing, Incorrect or Faulty Items

If your order:

  • arrives damaged;

  • appears to have leaked during transport;

  • contains a missing item;

  • contains an incorrect item; or

  • contains a product you believe to be faulty,

please contact us promptly and refer to our Product & Transit Claims Policy.

Please retain the product, parcel, packaging, courier label and any damaged components while the matter is being assessed.

We may reasonably request photographs, video, batch information, packaging information or other evidence relevant to investigating the issue.

Where reasonably required to assess a claim, arrange a courier claim or provide a remedy, we may also request that the affected product be returned or made available for collection.

Please do not dispose of the affected product or packaging until we advise that it is no longer required.

Any remedy will be provided in accordance with our obligations under applicable New Zealand consumer law.

Refunds of Shipping Charges

Whether an original shipping charge is refundable depends on the reason for the refund or return.

For customer-requested cancellations, changes of mind, incorrect addresses, uncollected parcels or other circumstances attributable to the customer, original shipping charges and other reasonable costs already incurred may be non-refundable where permitted by law.

Where a refund or other remedy is required because of a failure for which nails.co.nz is responsible, shipping costs will be handled in accordance with applicable New Zealand law and our Refund Policy.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Shipping & Delivery Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law.

Where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986, or other applicable legislation provides the customer with rights or remedies that conflict with this policy, those statutory rights and remedies will apply.
